HSE Responsibility


Health, Safety and Environmental Protection are primary values in the ISAB business culture with a major commitment both in functional and community relations.

ISAB is convinced that the full integration of its activities in the territory is a prime requisite for achieving its goals for development.

In accordance with these principles, ISAB intends to:

  • promote and implement all reasonable initiatives to minimize risks and eliminate causes that could put the health and safety of its personnel, or people in the local area, in danger;

  • guarantee a focus and a continuous commitment to improving environmental performance through the reduction of emissions in the air, water and soil, with a responsible and knowledgeable use of natural resources;

  • assess the environmental impact of all new activities, processes and products in advance;

  • develop constructive cooperation, based on maximum transparency and trust, both in-house and with the community and with external institutions in the management of environment, health and safety issues.

Maintain high safety and environmental standards through the implementation of effective Management Systems.

The Company, aware that the active contribution of all personnel is essential to reach the above goals, continuously develops information, promoting awareness and offering its staff targeted training.

Behaviour in line with corporate policy is considered an element of evaluation for individual performance, and the Company must guarantee all staff at all levels of responsibility respect the provisions of the law.

Furthermore, ISAB promotes the diffusion of policy with its suppliers and customers, in particular for contractors working on operational sites.

Specific reviews and audits are carried out periodically to assess results, on the basis of a system of indicators of reference established by the Company, in order to define corrective actions.

The Company since its foundation (2008) carries out social responsibility initiatives for young students (projects on road safety with the Carabinieri and the Polizia Stradale), for sport (Syracuse City Marathon), for health (projects on  cancer screening), for disadvantaged people.
